The state policy of limiting state intervention in the economic activities of Russian business entities and excessive state regulation created the ground for the creation of self-regulatory organizations (abbreviated. SRO), regulated by the relevant Federal Law and other legislative acts. SROs are intended mainly for the optimal solution of various industry and other problems that impede doing business, but which are difficult to solve on your own, if possible at all.
Membership in the SRO provides / real benefits for their members, there is no need to complex and stay away, because:
– by uniting at least 25 SPDs according to the industry principle (or from 100 members, based on the type of professional activity), important industry players are consolidated at a certain (regional or even federal) level;
– the standards and requirements established in the SRO contribute to the improvement of the professional level of each individual member;
– control bodies and disciplinary bodies that are created in SROs contribute to the speedy resolution of disputes and current issues;
– real opportunities for lobbying in the state. bodies of interests of its members, participation of self-regulatory organizations in the formation of legislation and areas related to their activities;
– a collective insurance system or the formation of a compensation fund (according to the charter of the SRO) is designed to resolve the issue of payments in the event that a member of the SRO causes damage to consumers (isn’t it better to pull these problems yourself);
– qualified protection of the rights and legitimate interests of SRO members and the organization as a whole;
– information support: timely informing members of all changes in legislation relating to their professional activities, as well as assistance in vocational training and advanced training for employees of enterprises belonging to SROs;
– assistance in certification of goods and services of SRO members;
– advantages in conducting scheduled inspections of business activities.
The benefits that SROs provide to their members are already appreciated by many business entities: as of September 2016, 483 self-regulatory organizations have already been created and registered in those sectors where their creation is not mandatory.
